We picked up the following 2 shields at an auction, and have been trying to work out their history (if indeed there is one!). One refers to Rahpl Tuck & sons in Ludgate Street, whilst the other refers to Carvers and Guilders.
The information seems a bit random, and heraldry signs do not make any sense, so wondering if these are apprentice sign writers pieces? If anyone on this group had any other thoughts, I’d be very grateful?
thanks in advance
