Apart from spelling LOCH SHIEL as LOCH SHEIL and LOCH SEIL Tuck have used the following card titles on the front of the cards:
PRINCE CHARLES’ MONUMENT AND LOCH SHEIL, GLENFINNAN - 1st card front image
“ROAD TO THE ISLES” PRINCE CHARLES’ MONUMENT AND LOCH SEIL - 2nd card front image
PRINCE CHARLIE’S MONUMENT AND LOCH SHEIL - title on the new version of the card below
It looks as if the same photo has been used for all 3 versions of the card but it has been cropped so:
Image 1 road and utility pole visible bottom middle left foreground
Image 2 no road and utility pole visible
New image smaller part of road and utilty pole visible bottom middle left foreground
New image
@GoranMaw interesting find, looks like we have no “REAL PHOTOGRAPH” set for this card, what do you think, new one card set for those images above?
@justintanner Got so distracted by different titles and image cropping that I missed the Real Photograph printed on the back of the card. Well spotted.
Agree that a new card record should be created in the FORT WILLIAM, REAL PHOTOGRAPH set for the new images. A note needs to be added with the correct spelling of LOCH SHIEL.
Perhaps a note could be added to the existing card record for FW97 in the FORT WILLIAM, sepia set to note the difference in titles between the 2 existing images?

As for the typos, before I go and change things, just to be super clear:
Correct Spelling: LOCH SHIEL (IE)
Bad Spellings: LOCH SHEIL, LOCH SEIL
Is that right?
@justintanner You’ve got the correct spelling and Tuck’s bad spellings right for the Loch.
The title of the new real photograph card is PRINCE CHARLIE’S rather than PRINCE CHARLES’ so needs an update.
Hope there aren’t other versions of this card with more Tuck errors!
