Clarification on Usage Rights

Hello, I was hoping to get some clarification beyond the FAQ section regarding the multiple (and amazing) postcards available on this website. It says the images are in the public domain and free to use without attribution, but the " data or information about each card" is licensed under CC By and must be attributed back to TuckDB. Is there a distinction between the actual images and the written information regarding the cards? I would really love to incorporate just the postcard images in a textile print and wanted to make sure I am free to download and use them for potential commercial use.

Thank you so much in advance for your help!

Hey Andwandering! Welcome to the forum.

Go ahead and use the images for whatever you like, you don’t have to attribute TuckDB if you don’t want to.

The images are for the most part over 100 years old, which places them in the public domain AFAIK.

The data we are talking about is the collectible information stored in our databases.

Most folks just wanna use the images for various art and research projects, and the answer is yes, go for it.

Thanks, Justin.

Apologies for the late reply, thank you so much for your help Justin!
