9494 - Having a ripping time - Inscription at lower left query

9494 - Having a ripping time - Inscription at lower left. There are three cards in this section with the “Having a ripping time” inscription in the lower right of card - “At Morecambe”, “Blackpool” and postcard with no town name. Is this correct or should they be in the Inscription at lower right section?

@Magners50 So is this the card you talking about?

9494 - Card title says HAVING A RIPPING TIME inscrip at LOWER LEFT-donkey pulls mans shirt, man in shorts only. The cards in this section “At Morecambe”, “Blackpool” and “postcard with no town name”, have the inscription in the lower right of the cards. Shouldn’t these be in the the section that says HAVING A RIPPING TIME inscrip at LOWER RIGHT-donkey pulls mans shirt, man in shorts only.

Oh I see what your saying, normally cards with towns are used in their titles.

I think in this case there was no title, so we put “HAVING A RIPPING TIME” in the title to differentiate these cards, as they all share that in common.

That make sense?

@justintanner, I think what he’s actually saying is that these three specific card images, which have the “Having a ripping time” inscription at the lower right, have been erroneously placed in the “inscription at lower left” group:

EDIT (1Apr22): Now that Justin’s moved the images, the above links are no longer valid.

It appears to me that they belong with
https://tuckdbpostcards.org/items/70489
instead of
https://tuckdbpostcards.org/items/70485.

In fact, another example of the one with no town name is already there, while the Morecambe and Blackpool in that group have different type faces for the town name, so I imagine would be considered varieties.

Now, am I making any sense? :slightly_smiling_face:

@jrbuck99 Thanks that cleared it up. @Magners50 apologies I got lost in all those covers, I moved those three covers to the right card.
